I usually wear a half size smaller snowboard boot, so for me 9.5. I bought a 10 Rome boot and it fits the same as my older 9.5 north wave boot. The fit is great, comfortable and the lacing is super, glad I got them. Could be a bit warmer but no different then anyone boot I have ever had.
I already wrote a positive review about the Libertine Hybrid Boa last year. I loved those boots but unfortunately I had an issue with a stuck boa cable. Rome customer service was exceptional when I contacted them and they replaced my boots immediately. I asked for a non-boa version this time because I believe lace only version will not fail me. Recived the new model and I still love these boots to death. Best boots ever made for my feet at least! My size is 12.5 US and I have and E width feet. These boots fit me perfectly and they are not narrow at all. To all the people with E width - give these a try at least. Their Ultralon liners are the best liners I've ever had. Also the footprint is nicely reduced which is a big plus for riders with bigger feet.
I remain a Rome fan forever!
Boot size was not true to size (vs other brand). Had to return, shipping cost on me. Ordered another pair, right size (0.5 above normal size) but shell dug downward under toecap stitching. Had to return boots, shipping cost on me AGAIN. Bought boots from other brand that is true to size and comfortable (no return).
I decided to buy the Libertine lace this season and I don’t regret it. I absolutely love these boots. Best boots I’ve ever owned.
Best classic lace boots on the market.
The Libertine is hands down my favorite boot. There really isn't another boot out there that I would consider getting. I've had older versions of this boot in the past, and this new model continues to get better. It provides a comfortable, perfect fit and performs super well. Offers great support, but is still soft and flexible enough to feel like I can maneuver and play out on the hill. As more and more boot companies are adopting BOA systems, I love that Rome continues to offer a traditional lace boot. What I lose in speed I gain in control over the fit, and I will take that trade every time.
Fantastic all around boot, I’m used to the bodega which is a bit softer but if your looking for a really good boot on the stiffer side of this is the boot for you
I have used about 6 generations of the Libertine boot, and this version is the best of all of them. If you like a softer flexing boot that has a perfect fit, performs super well every day you use it, this is your boot. Oh, and it also keep your feet super warm.
