Best bindings I’ve ridden in a while, the straps are crazy comfortable and over all great!
I purchased the 390 boss. There is one negative thing. The lader strap likes to come out of the track on the ankle hammock that guides the tail end amount of unused ladder after it’s been pushed through the ratchet buckle. Usually this happens in transit when there there is more of the tail end of the ladder than the amount before the Ratchet buckle. Other wise realy great binding and would strongly recommend them to other riders. Lightweight simple and durable. I think this is a perfect park binding. If you consistently do more resort riding or just lots more than just freestyle and park I’d say you might be happier with something more stout. Id definitely buy the katana or even black label for that. Like you guys with quiver killer boards might feel the 390 boss is lacking on the mock 10 top to bottom run but can hold its own in the park and keep up but isn’t special in the tree runs. Still though glad I purchased the 390 boss. I used to be a quiver killer guy, “one board to rule them all” and in the last 3 years started hunting for a three board quiver. So I slapped the 390 on my gnu headspace to complete the park board set up and I’ve been very pleased. Very content. A huge positive with the 390 boss (other than my one one gripe earlier in the comment) is this is a no nonsense binding. It’s simple. No added moving parts that can lock up for some unforeseen reason. Yah got a base plate some straps and buckles and a high back. Add in the materials they be using and you got a real kick ass binding.
I have rocked the same set of 390 Boss bindings since 2016 on my setup. I go riding 10 to 15 times per year. I have had no complaints with the performance, and I have always been able to get my boots as stiff as I prefer. They have held up pretty well until last year when the binding straps for one of the toe caps broke and the buckle on the other toe cap separated from the cap material. I’m glad that I was still able to order the replacement parts from rome, my only complaint is the exorbitant $15 shipping charge for $20 of replacement parts that took 1.5-2 weeks to get here.
These bindings are light and able to transfer your power to the board. It has one of the best toe strap interface.
