I got this board on my way to Sun peaks and kicking horse. This board absolutely rocks in steep big mountain terrain and rips up groomers. Felt really nice in the trees as well and the variable side cut made more of a difference than I thought it would. Absolutely love it
This board is an all mountain hard charging animal! Absolutely plows through anything. Highly recommended!
Its a great board. I had to get accustomed to it though since I'm coming from a directional twin with a flex of 6.
On groomers: With a EU size 46 (US 13), its hard to find a board that allows me to lay down the carves. This 165 Wide is actually wide! I smiled hard as I could finally let go of the fear of booting out. The 3D nose seems to help in getting this big base from edge to egde.
Its stiffness is a tradeoff im happy to make. I did lose the ability to play around with some presses (nosepresses can still be done since you have a long nose but the carbon rods in the tail make tailpresses much harder). However, you gain a lot of power! The power you get coming out of turns, sending you into the next one, is just so much fun. The stiffness helps keep it stable at high speeds (the board felt good at 85 km/h). Last thing about the stiffness: pop! My ollies on sidehits have gotten much higher with this board (for reference, i weigh 95 kg).
In powder: It really felt at home in the powder. Fast, floaty, fun. Jumps and small cliffdrops (<1m) were easily absorbed. I think bigger cliffdrops will work too but that is a fear/skillissue for now.
In general: I think the most important aspect here is that this board is confidence inspiring and just feels so good to ride, on groomers, side hits, and powder.
The Ravine Pro is a super nice board with great edge hold. It carves extremely well and the progressive side cut gives a very enjoyable turning experience. The base is very high quality (seems on par with my Jones Aviator 2.0).
It’s light (2,760 kg), quite stiff but also very poppy, if you just get a little small jump or a bump in the snow it’s easy to get good air. It also has a nice dampness to it, it feels stable at high speed, and you don’t get any vibrations or chatter coming up to your feet.
The 25/26 model has a new shape and it’s not just the shape of the nose that has changed. I have both the 25/26 Ravine pro and also one from 23/24 (both in 155 cm).
Comparing the two boards I found that the 25/26 model has a much higher and also bit a longer camber, it is running longer up towards the nose. The camber on the Ravine Pro from 25/26 is higher than on my Jones Aviator 2.0. The extra camber is really noticeable, the new model has more spring in the turns, and I think it’s better when it comes to ripping groomers compare to the older shape. The Ravine Pro feels very much like full camber on groomers but the flat section in the nose keeps the nose up in pow.
The 23/24 version was made at SWS factory and the 25/26 version is made at the Titan factory. The new version feels a bit more “crisp” while the older version a bit more rubbery. I think it’s due to the extra camber but I expect the change in factory also something to do with it. The top sheet on the newer version feels more durable compare to the 23/24 version (Rome confirmed that the change of factory has increased the durability).
Apart from the board being awesome, the customer service/warranty department at Rome in Europe is GREAT!!
The 23/24 model started to de-laminate a bit from the edge and inwards, so I sent in some photos etc. to Rome and without a doubt they responded that it was a warranty issue and send me a discount code for ordering a new Ravine pro (with shipping) via their website. They honored their warranty 100% and I will be very confident in buying a Rome again.
I am a level 3 snowboard instructor who has tested many snowboard over the years. The ravine pro really sruprised me! Great pop, it handles high speeds and big drops. If you want something that floats well in powder and can handle big jumps/drops, this is what you are looking for.
It does eveything you want it to. Great for carving, tree runs, big mountain and you can even take in in the park (for the bigger jumps). Yes, it will handle rails, but that's not what it's meant for.
I have been teaching on it almost every day, except the beginner lessons. They are just going to scratch it and it does not like going slow :p

It is the first Rome snowboard that i bought and it won't be the last one. The Ravine Pro 162w is simply perfect for carving and polder Day. Just love it
Great board for all around, great pop, good for agressive riding, float well on powder! Love it
Picked up the 162 and took it out on a day with 6-12” of pow. Damn, this thing is a beast! Feels like cheating with how easy it floats. On the groomers, it was super fun to carve and charged through the chunder like a boss. I was able to stay in control and felt stable on edge while charging down some really torn up runs.
I’m 6’1” 190lbs and the 162 size is perfect as a deep day deck for my quiver. However, if I was buying this as my do it all board I would have gone a little smaller. The 162 is a beast and not the easiest to maneuver through tight trees and not very playful on groomers. I think a bit smaller would still float no problem in pow and be more fun everywhere else. Anyway, it’s perfect for what I needed and I’m STOKED.
I’ve been riding Rome bindings for a long time, but as a shop employee I was also able to demo other brands and nothing ever came close except for Nitro. I finally upgraded from an 8-year-old pair of Katanas that I have been riding about 40-50 days a season on and was still super happy with. Nothing ever broke on them and I loved the feel. I didn’t think much could be improved, but wow, these 390 Boss Pro’s are mind blowing. The footbed and the straps are ridiculously comfortable. I’ve rode pow, steep and technical, and park, and they perform great all around the mountain. I went with the pro for the response of a stiffer high back since I don’t ride park as much as I used to, and I have the ankle strap in the high position. Super quick edge to edge, and I can still tweak out a method with ease. I’ve put them on the ravine pro and the agent pro and could not praise these bindings enough! So sick!
