    Tweakable, versatile
    and dependable.

The Rome D.O.D. is built for riders who see the whole mountain as their park. Designed with a press friendly flex pattern, thanks to its newly redesigned glass-filled Anti-Shock highback and FullWrap platform, the D.O.D is stable at speed but still playful enough to tweak mid-rotation.

    Broken highback

Highback broken after 1 season. Not durable because of line-holes. Rome support says there is no highback for replace, still waiting.

    Perfect bindings, I love them

The DOD bindings are absolutely incredible. My first binding was an older pair of Boss 390 bindings and I used those all over the mountain and they're awesome, (I'll still be using those on my Rome Graft park board). But the DOD's are next level, the response is immediate and precise, what you put into them they react and adjust accordingly. I'm a pretty powerful rider (at my size) and these were just what I was looking for, something I could put power into and get the response I needed quickly without waiting for the binding to flex and respond. I took these bindings on groomed runs, into the trees, on side hits, and anything else I could find and they were amazing. Very comfortable for all day riding and the foam dampens the rider so impacts from landings and small chatter aren't felt with full force.

    Extremely hard to adjust...

First, this review is about the 2018 D.O.D model that I bought a few years back, but by looking at the pictures I see little to no change in the design of these bindings over the years, so this review should still be applicable. The only good thing I can say about these bindings is probably their look, everything else had been a headache. I've owned many pairs of bindings from many difference brands in the past, and I really want to love these Rome bindings but I just can't. After finally mounting them to my board I felt like I've lost a life. They were extremely hard to adjust not only due to the extremely tight factory screws on the heel cup, but also the many utterly unnecessary parts that add nothing but complication to the bindings. I feel like their so-called full wrap technology is nothing but a hoax, I doubt there's any evidence that it actually improves your riding, and it only makes the bindings harder to adjust and possibly heavier. You have to pretty much remove all 4 screws on the base plate to adjust either the heel cup or the toe strap positions to your liking. The highbacks are fixated by a different set of screws than those of the heel straps, which is completely unnecessary as most bindings just use the same set of screws, this resulted a longer bottom part of the highback and more frictions against your boots which can wear out your boots more quickly. How the heel straps are screwed onto the bindings is also mind boggling to me. Other than using a screw, a washer and a nut, there's also a chunky plastic washer and a flimsy plastic washer on each side of the strap which makes no sense to me at all. On top of that there is a rubber ladder, kinda like a string, attached to the latch and the end of the heel strap, which I have no idea of its purpose and it will simply snap if you extend your heel strap to the longest setting since the rubber string is not long/elastic enough... The heel straps are also way too short to fit just regular sized boots, I have size 8.5 boots and I had to set my heel straps to the last tooth to barely strap in... Lastly, the foot bed is barely adjustable, the most it can be moved in or out is like 2 cm, and as a result most of my toes are just hanging in the air, this could be because of the sizing issue which I'll get into later. I'm not sure whether there are actually considerations behind all these things I mentioned or they are just really poor designs. I feel like the Union bindings are very simple but without compromises on functionality or adjustability, yet these Rome bindings are the complete opposite, they are overly complicated with no real benefits to functionality or adjustability. Rome brags about how adjustable these bindings are, but pretty much all their adjustablities are standard on other bindings as well. Last but not least, the sizing on these bindings is just confusing/stupid. They used to have only two sizes on the older models, S/M or M/L, which is okay, but they run way too small if bought according to the sizing chart, now they have S, M/L and L/LX, which just makes no sense, why don't just call them S, M and L? After all these flaws it's just hard for me to like these bindings, I'd much prefer to get a pair of high end Union bindings with the same amount money, yet they are much easier to adjust, fit better, more comfortable and probably more durable too. Rome REALLY need to up their game on these bindings...

    Solid Responsive Workhorse and Performer!

I have previously owned Rome Targas and 390 Boss’s, and the new tech in these D.O.D.s are second to none and definitely steps up the game from its predecessors. Super damp, chatter reducing, ultra responsive bindings. I have used these for all mountain riding and large park features with no complaints. The new toe strap is a game changer!!! Best I have ever used!!! My only note is that these are definitely a more stiff high back, great for large park features, tearing up steep black runs, and general all mountain response; but I would not recommend for jibbing or smaller more technical park features that demand a softer high back. All in all, these are a super binding, just buy them, you won’t be disappointed!!!
